Power Raking
Why should I power rake my lawn?
Thatch (dead grass) is caused by heavy snow pack, lack of sufficient moisture throughout the winter season, grass clippings due to mulching the grass when mowing. Thatch can also be caused by fungus, insects, grubs, too much moisture, or lack of moisture throughout the year. Excess amounts of thatch in your lawn suffocate the root system and prevents proper root growth & water absorption into the soil. This makes Power Raking an essential process to remove excess thatch and to allow your turf to recover. Excess thatch can lead to fungus, grub, insects, and/or other unwanted lawn diseases. To prevent further spread, power raking is essential.
