Compost
compost benefits
After over-seeding, composting and top dressing the lawn aids in seed growth/germination. It allows for a more cool and damp environment. Compost ensures moisture retention and is vital for see growth, making it the MOST effective way to grow new seed, especially in bare spots caused by fungus, grubs, necrotic ring spot (ferry ring), and pet urine. Composting these areas is recommended. After a Double Pass Core Aeration the composting agent also mixes with the existing soil creating a better soil base (taking clay out and replacing with optimum soil) for a healthier lawn, deeper root system, and better year-round water absorption.
